5 WFH Customer Service Tips

Hey there,

I know this is a new time and era with so many people working from home. Well this is my background and I have a few tips for you. My work history is sales and customer service, in a call center setting. Since the change in economy in recent years, I decided to bring it all home. I have worked for home for several major companies selling services from internet, cable and phone services. I also implemented my customer service skills with these positions. There are a few things to do when working from home, that makes life much easier.

Tip#1 Plan ahead- Plan your week, including meals, personal business and family time. This allows for additional time to relax on your off days.

Tip#2 Keep a designated area to work- Although this is work from home, privacy and security is very important. Please designate an area only accessible to you if possible. For example, an additional bedroom, that allows you to lock the door. Also have a great internet service, phone and fax in your work area.Switch to Earthkink Internet today

Tip#3 Minimize Noise- Keeping noise, such as, dogs barking, family or friends, outside noise and other distractions, at a minimum. I purchase noise canceling curtains and placed over my door and window.

Tip#4 Stay Proactive- Stay alert on calls and pay attention to the customers request. It is very easy to get distracted, while on calls. Also, show lots of empathy, care and understanding. Especially at this time, people are looking for solutions.

Tip#5 Have Reliable Home Internet and Phone Service- Working from home requires reliable internet and phone service. I utilize a great internet service and I enjoy the customer service this company has too!

I hope this helps you and good luck on your work from home journey.
